The “B.E.S.T.” TES Program
After an abundance of workplace fatalities, industries identified the gaps in qualified personnel supervising Aboveground Storage Tank (AST) projects. The IQCIA was formed to bridge those gaps. The Goal is to provide the “BEST” method of assurance; that our alumni are well-trained and fully qualified. Our mission is to train Tank Entry Supervisors in the best safety practices, thereby reducing the number of on-site fatalities and injuries. IQCIA has provided technical and standards training to industry professionals since 1985. We presented our first API-TES Exam Prep Course over 13 years ago on the West Coast. Since that very first TES course, we have developed the extensive IQC Programs, Recommended Guidelines, for Tank Entry Supervisors, Confined Space Entry Supervisors, Confined Space Rescue, and Incident Command.
The IQC TES Individual Qualification Certification course is designed to qualify and certify individuals based on a wide range of criteria; required knowledge, practical application, and a complete understanding of the responsibilities and duties of a Qualified/Certified Tank Entry Supervisor. With our hands-on certification courses, we will teach you what you need to know, how to apply it in the field, and retain that knowledge effectively. Through the S.M.A.R.T. Testing system, the IQCIA Board of Directors will verify that you have retained and can apply your knowledge accurately in the field before granting the Individual Qualification Certification. We also offer workplace safety plans which can be custom-tailored to fit your company.
Our instructors have trained more than 500 candidates for the American Petroleum Institute (API) TES Certification Program exams through our US and International public examination prep courses alone. Our instructors have educated more than 500 IDLH Confined Space Rescue Technicians, Operations level, ERT Team Training, Team Leaders, Incident Commanders and Emergency Management Services, both private, local, State and Federal government, and Internationally.
The I.Q.C. Program is an alternate certification for API TES Tank Entry Supervisor Certification. The IQC Program Courses are presented with the requirements of establishing a written quality program and undergoing a rigorous audit to obtain the certification. We have also developed courses covering API 2015,2016,2219,2207, ACGIH, CFR’s and OSHA, that are covered in our training format. These intense courses are typically suited to an individual customer’s requirements and specific hazards associated with their working environment. Emphasis may be placed on hazards, job planning, TLV’s and BEI’s, TEL’s at any level. Tank Isolation, degassing, cleaning, cribbing EFR/IFR’s, prep for 653 inspection, preparation for repairs, electrical, vacuum trucks, calculations, filling and inspecting, back in service, proper paperwork, safe work and execution plans.
